What to Expect

A sunrise desert safari is an early-morning adventure into the desert near Abu Dhabi. It’s quieter, cooler, and offers beautiful light — perfect for photos and a more peaceful experience than a sunset safari. Typical inclusions:

• Pickup from your hotel (or mall/residence) in a 4×4 (usually Land Cruiser)
• Drive out into the desert (Al Khatim is a common desert area for such tours)
• Sunrise viewing — being at a dune-summit or open spot to watch the desert “wake up” with golden light
• Dune bashing (off-road driving over dunes) with professional drivers
• Sandboarding (sliding down dunes), maybe even skiing on soft sand in some tours

Timing

Start Time: Usually between 4:30 AM to 5:30 AM, depending on the time of year and sunrise time.
Duration: Around 3–4 hours. Some tours might stretch a little longer (to ~5 hrs) if they include extra activities.
